YEREVAN. – Armenian MOD Investigation Service launched a criminal case based on operative information with respect to giving bribe (US$ 3,000) to the chief of staff of an MOD military unit.
The case was launched on Tuesday, and an investigation is underway, the Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The given military unit’s chief of staff was detained, on the same day, on suspicion of receiving bribe to transfer a conscript from his unit to another one.
The criminal investigation continues.
MOD still does not disclose the identity of the detained chief of staff.
