YEREVAN. – Armenia’s newly appointed Police Chief Vladimir Gasparyan is continuing with the personnel changes in the Police Force. There is news that he will also reach the system’s “large” figures and will soon dismiss Ashot Karapetyan, Head of the Criminal Investigations Department, Haykakan Zhamanak daily writes.
“According to our information, Karapetyan, who used to be [capital Yerevan’s Central] Kentron Police Chief, will be relieved of his duties, since his Department and the 6th [General] Department [of Special Detachment Against Organized Crime] will combine, and he will be sent for training,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
