YEREVAN. – One of former Armenian Police Chief Alik Sargsyan’s last orders became apparent on Friday; he had signed that order on October 30, that is, two days prior to his dismissal, Haykakan Zhamanak daily writes.       

And in line with that order, the law enforcement officer who had opened fire at and killed Arman Yengibaryan, at the entrance of a capital Yerevan subway station on June 15, is awarded the “Bulwark of Law” Medal while his fellow officer, the badge for excellent service.      

According to the Police Force, Arman Yengibaryan was suspected in several robberies. An investigation was launched into his death, and as a result the police officers’ actions were deemed legitimate, Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
