YEREVAN. – The first order of business of Mushegh Ohanyan, the newly appointed chief of Armenia’s Metsamor Police Precinct, was to replace with a new one the Armenian national flag flying atop the Precinct building, Hraparak daily writes.   

“The former Chief Marat Poghosyan bid farewell to his post because had had not paid proper attention to one of Armenia’s national symbols, the flag, which was in rags. The Metsamor residents are certainly glad that now a tricolor flag is flying on top of the building, instead of an old [cloth], but they say they expect from the [new] Precinct Chief unbiased and objective activities, which were more lacking during his predecessor’s tenure,” Hraparak writes.
