BAKU. – The “information war” in Azerbaijan against Armenia is yielding the opposite results, QafqazINFO.az website’s correspondent Asef Guliyev writes, specifically commenting on Azerbaijan’s statements that “if the Armenians start flights toward Karabakh, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces General Command Headquarters and the people of Azerbaijan would take necessary actions.”       

“There is the impression that all forces are ready to attack, but the Commander-in-Chief is not giving the order. It seems he does not think Karabakh needs to be taken back now. These abnormal phenomena are yielding the opposite result. Another wrong step: Information was disseminated a month ago that a stone wall was to be constructed along the Karabakh-Azerbaijani border, but this only had adverse effects. The Armenians used this to show that Azerbaijan is afraid of Armenian soldiers,” Guliyev wrote.       

He also expressed a concern, noting that Azerbaijan has no right to hit civil aviation planes. He also adds that if Azerbaijan had such capability, it firstly would have bombed the military planes flying into Karabakh.    

“And such statements are a result of ignorance and unawareness,” Asef Guliyev concludes, QafqazINFO.az reported.
