YEREVAN. – After when the Zhoghovurd daily wrote that the first-year Master’s students at Yerevan University of Economics had not yet received their scholarship fees, the Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan gave an explanation and stated that he not only instructed that this matter be resolved quickly, but that the rectors of other universities were instructed to see to it that the scholarship fees are not delayed, the daily writes.
“[But] It has become clear that the University of Economics disregarded Minister Ashotyan’s instructions and the students have not yet received their scholarship fees, just as the schools disregard the Minister’s instructions. Ashotyan had said, on numerous occasions, that collecting money is prohibited in schools, but we become eyewitness to this vicious phenomenon everywhere,” Zhoghovurd writes.
