YEREVAN. - VivaCell-MTS Company’s General Manager Ralph Yirikian has no political ambitions to run in the 2013 presidential elections in Armenia, the Company’s Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
And the Company’s respective press release specifically reads:
“On November 29, the CNews agency published an article, in which it is specifically noted that K-Telecom Company’s (VivaCell-MTS brand name) General Manager Ralph Yirikian as if has political ambitions to run in the 2013 presidential elections in Armenia. We can only make assumptions as to who have disseminated this false information, especially to what purpose. We also wish to note that, pursuant to the Constitution of the Republic of Armenia, an individual who has Armenian citizenship for the past ten years, who permanently resides in Armenia, and who has a right to vote can become a presidential candidate. Ralph Yirikian not only does not have a political ambition to be elected or appointed to any political post, which he has clearly stated on numerous occasions, but he also does not meet with any of the criterion necessary to be nominated a candidate.”
