YEREVAN. – Widespread blood and urine tests are being conducted among Armenia’s Police Force, in recent days, Hraparak daily writes.
“Even though they told us this is done along the lines of annual medical examinations, the real objective is to check whether the police use [illegal] drugs. In all probability, the new Police Chief decided to take prophylactic actions to exclude drug addicts within the organization he leads.
So, if they launched a large-scale operation to find drug addicts among political party affiliates, they need to be insured that they do not have the same within themselves, so they would not be accused of the same, in the future,” Hraparak writes.
