YEREVAN. – Ireland, which will assume OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) Co-Chairmanship in 2012, will assist in the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs’ efforts toward a peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict, Ireland’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Lucinda Creighton on Tuesday stated during her meeting in Vilnius, Lithuania, with Armenian FM Edward Nalbandian. 

During the meeting the interlocutors exchanged views on the implementation of the agreements reached during Nalbandian’s visit to Ireland this year. Also, Armenia’s FM presented the latest developments with respect to the Karabakh peace process. 

In Vilnius, Edward Nalbandian also met with David Lidington, Great Britain’s Minister for Europe. During the conversation, the parties reflected on the bilateral relations and regional matters. And in the context of the peaceful resolution of the Karabakh conflict, David Lidington welcomed Tuesday’s five-party joint statement.     

And during Armenian FM’s meeting with his Cypriot colleague Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis, the interlocutors examined Armenian-Cypriot relations and regional issues. They also exchanged views on Armenia-EU cooperation, MFA Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
