Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan has stated that his Syrian counterpart, Bashar al-Assad, has not given a positive response to their proposal for an Ankara-Damascus meeting and normalization of bilateral relations.
"We told Assad: ‘Let's meet.’ We didn't get a positive response," the Turkish leader told reporters on Friday.
