Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received Italian ambassador Alfonso Di Rizzo, who is completing his diplomatic mission in Armenia, the PM’s office informs.

The premier noted that a positive dynamics of cooperation was formed between Armenia and Italy during the ambassador's tenure, and expressed hope that this collaboration will not only be preserved, but also continue to develop and strengthen. Also, Pashinyan emphasized the expansion of bilateral ties—including political, economic, and cultural—between the two countries.

Ambassador Di Rizzo, for his part, thanked the prime minister for close cooperation, and noted that economic ties between Armenia and Italy have developed in recent years, particularly in textiles. Also, the diplomat stressed the implementation of joint cultural programs as well, and added that the organizing of a new exhibition was currently underway.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the latest developments in the talks on signing an Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty, as well as to the work towards the border delimitation between the two countries.
