Past daily of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: It is more than obvious that emigration from Armenia has increased during [PM Nikol] Pashinyan's rule—and especially in the last 34 years. (…).

And to cover up this shameful situation, the CC [i.e. the ruling Civil Contract Party] informational propaganda started recently to spread another lie that there has never been a positive migration balance before [in Armenia].

In fact, it is not only a hoax, but is also a hoax with several episodes. First, in fact, such a balance was recorded, in particular, in 2006-2008; but that aside. There is also the next big Pashinyan hoax. How did they count those coming [to] and going [from Armenia] in the past? In a very simple and effective way. How many RA citizens crossed the RA border to abroad? How many citizens entered the country? Simplest subtraction, and the difference is obvious. This used to give a clearer and more objective picture. Now, it turns out—rather, in 2021—the Pashinyan authorities have changed the calculation methodology. To put it briefly and simply, they have resorted to their favorite "trickery" method.

That is, they take as the basis of the calculation the fact that a citizen is registered [in Armenia]. Well, a person can leave Armenia, remain in the registry [o Armenia] for months, if not years (that is, not to be "deregistered"), but actually be in a completely different country. But it turns out that for the Pashinyan authorities, statistics and propaganda, that person is considered to be in Armenia because he is registered [in the country]. Why did they do so? And isn't it clear? The difference between those who have gone [from] and those who have come [to Armenia] is concrete, clear, perceptible, clear. And those who are in the registry or not, well, go, count, find out, check who is in the country, and who—near the American-Mexico border or, say, in Rostov-on-Don [in Russia].

Accordingly, it becomes possible to show mild emigration figures [from Armenia]. However, according to experts’ view, we [i.e. Armenia] have had record emigration figures for at least the last three years. Well, not counting the elections, when those people will not even know that they have elected the CC... It is a convenient option, undoubtedly.
