The airports of the Syrian cities of Damascus and Aleppo, which have been closed since December 8, have resumed aircraft reception and departure operations—but only with special permits for now. This is stated in special NOTAM messages distributed by air traffic controllers.

All flights to and from these airports have been canceled, except for flights with a special permit from the civil aviation authority, the aforesaid message added.

This flight restriction period is set from 20:00 on December 12 to 15:00 on December 18.
