The Armenian delegation led by National Assembly (NA) speaker Alen Simonyan, who is in India on an official visit, on Monday met with Indian President Droupadi Murmu, the NA informs.

The parties noted with satisfaction the high dynamics of the development of relations between the two countries, and added that despite broad cooperation, there is still unfulfilled potential in the bilateral relations.

Also, Droupadi Murmu thanked Alen Simonyan for his official visit to India, and expressed confidence that this visit will open a new chapter in bilateral relations.

In turn, Simonyan thanked for the meeting, and emphasized that India is an important partner of Armenia.

The interlocutors discussed matters of bilateral interest, including the peace treaty expected to be signed between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
