It will move at a speed of 23.726 km / h, and this is close in terms of astronomy, but experts assure that the collision is impossible. This was reported by Levon Azizyan, director of the State Scientific and Research Organization “Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center”.

The asteroid was spotted on December 12 by NASA and European Space Agency (ESA) planetary protection systems. Although the asteroid will approach the Earth at 18 times the distance of the Moon, it passes perfectly safely. The celestial rock has a diameter of 29-70 meters and poses no danger to the planet. According to ESA and NASA calculations, there is no probability of collision of this asteroid with the Earth, and it is not even on the list of dangerous objects. For amateur astronomers, the asteroid will not be visible.

The small space rock 2013YB on December 23, 2024 has very little chance of colliding with Earth. This object, less than 3 meters in diameter, is likely to burn up in the atmosphere, leaving behind only a bright fireball. The probability of impact is estimated at 1/52356.

On the same day, but on the other side, the asteroid 2021 BA2 with a diameter of up to 70 meters at a distance of 2.75 million kilometers will pass over the Earth. Despite its proximity, its passage also does not pose a danger to the planet.
