Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: Law enforcement officers are continuing inquiries from various countries in the case into the 1 ton of cocaine that ended up in Armenia under mysterious conditions.

According to the news that reached Zhoghovurd daily, the RA law enforcement officers have sent a petition to the US as well for legal assistance.

Zhoghovurd newspaper had reported that the period of house arrest of those detained in the criminal case had expired, and all those detained in the scandalous case had been released. Moreover, one year of the discovery had also passed, but the investigation continues.

We had written that a year ago, letters were sent by the NSS [i.e. the National Security Service of Armenia] to a number of European countries, within the scope of the investigation, regarding the origin, circulation of the cocaine, and other matters, but the answers were not received, or there are no desired answers.

It should be noted that those detained in this case were the employees of the company belonging to the former MP of the NA [i.e. the National Assembly of Armenia], Mihran Poghosyan; one of whom is a woman.
