Armenia's economic activity index for the eleven months of 2024 was 7.4 percent, Minister of Economy Gevorg Papoyan said at Monday’s press conference to recap the 2024 results in the country.

Papoyan informed that during the aforesaid period, Armenia’s exports increased by 74 percent, imports—by 41.5 percent, industry—by 74 percent (with the processing industry increasing by 10.8 percent), and the service sector—by 6.3 percent.

The minister added that the growth in Armenia’s agriculture from January to September 2024 was 1.8 percent, and in construction—14.9 percent.

"The construction sector has become the engine of [Armenia’s economic] growth; in second place is industry," Papoyan emphasized.

He noted that Armenia's economic indicators are close to the pre-covid 2019 data.
