U.S. President Donald Trump's administration plans to use military aircraft on a daily basis to help carry out the largest deportation operation in U.S. history, border security official Tom Homan told ABC News.

Just days after Trump took office, the U.S. government used military aircraft to fly migrants back to their home countries for the first time in history, Homan said, and it will now become a daily occurrence.

U.S. officials said the U.S. military flew more than 150 migrants to Guatemala on two separate flights on Thursday. However, Homan made it clear that military flights are part of a much broader plan.

The official argues that unlike under the Joe Biden administration, Immigration and Customs Enforcement officials are now free to arrest any of the more than 11 million immigrants in the country without legal status, not just those identified as priorities for deportation for being convicted criminals or posing other threats to public safety.

Homan also offered another possible solution for “those who are in the country illegally”: they should leave on their own, he said.
