YEREVAN. - The ruling coalition’s Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) has not yet discussed any matter concerning the upcoming parliamentary elections. The Party’s congress will be convened in February-March, in all likelihood, during which the governing body will be elected and only after which will the RPA election list and the nominees be presented, National Assembly Deputy Speaker and RPA spokesperson Eduard Sharmazanov stated, during a press conference on Monday.

In response to the query as to whether the coalition’s Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) would support President Serzh Sargsyan’s nomination in the next presidential elections, Eduard Sharmazanov said: “The coalition has said it will support Serzh Sargsyan’s nomination. There aren’t any insurmountable conflicts with PAP. The coalition is united, and it carries out the steps that are outlined in the [coalition’s joint] memorandum.”
