Zhoghovurd daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: From the very first day of taking office, January 20, President of the United States of America Donald Trump signed a series of decrees, with one of which all [US] foreign aid programs are suspended for 90 days..
That is, the Trump administration will soon have to decide whether or not the previously approved programs that are being implemented comply with the policy goals of the new US government.
Zhoghovurd daily is receiving information that this decision of Trump has affected also the work of American or US-funded organizations, structures, approved programs, and even the embassy operating in Armenia.
The funding of many Armenian organizations being funded by the US, those working under grant programs has been frozen also until further notice. And existing arrangements and events are being canceled one by one.
Zhoghovurd daily was informed that since Trump's inauguration, January 20, no functions are being carried out in Armenian institutions, the employees are waiting for a specific decision.
