The Armenian government, at its Cabinet meeting Thursday, made a decision to give its consent on behalf of Armenia to the increase in the country's quota based on the 16th review of quotas adopted by the Board of Governors of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Currently, Armenia's quota in the IMF is 128.8 million special drawing rights (SDRs) which is 0.03% of the total IMF quota, and according to which Armenia has 0.05% of the votes on the IMF Board of Governors.
As a result of the 16th review of IMF quotas, Armenia's quota is also proposed to be increased by 50%, up to 193.2 million SDRs.
With the adoption of the draft, the fulfillment of the obligations undertaken in connection with the signed agreement will be ensured.
