Zhoghovurd newspaper of the Republic of Armenia (RA) writes as follows, in particular: Zhoghovurd daily learned from informed sources that after a meeting with the law enforcement agencies and the parents of missing servicemen held at the RA National Assembly on January 31, the law enforcement system has begun to study the cases of missing persons on a large scale again.

Zhoghovurd daily learned that in parallel with this process, the parents are also collecting the documents that have come into their hands.

And while the law enforcement agencies are studying the cases in more depth, the NSS [i.e. the National Security Service] reported that the meeting of the Interagency Commission on Issues of Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing (Location Unknown) Persons of the Republic of Armenia and the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Hostages and Missing Persons of the Republic of Azerbaijan had taken place on February 7, 2025, on the border of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Azerbaijan.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on issues of clarifying the fate of missing persons, and agreed that discussions by mutual consent between the commissions will continue. However, the details of this meeting are unavailable to the public.
