Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: [PM] Nikol Pashinyan has published (…) his second article in the past month—again intimidating the public with escalation [of tension] in the footnotes. The first [article] was on February 9.

This time he presents his proposals to open [regional] communications, and notes that the matter of unblocking [of these communications] has, in fact, been resolved—Azerbaijan does not agree. And he asks why Baku rejects Armenia's proposals. "I hope it is not for creating a false pretext for escalation."

The article makes it clear that Baku demands that Pashinyan fulfill point 9 of the November 9 [2020] [trilateral] statement, abandoning the unworkable "crossroads of peace" project [of Armenia]. And in that point it is described that the road to be provided to Baku must be unobstructed. (…)

Pashinyan’s [aforesaid] articles and instilling fear of escalation [of tension] have one objective: to convince the [Armenian] public that if we do not give the corridor [via Armenia], Azerbaijan will start a war.

But that matter could have been discussed as long as the Lachin corridor existed, and Azerbaijan would have fulfilled the other points of [the] November 9 [2020] [statement], including the return of the captives.

Now it turns out that Pashinyan has conceded both Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] and Lachin, and has given territory from Kirants [village of Armenia to Azerbaijan], and is unable to bring back the [Armenian] captives [from Azerbaijan], but is also ready to give the [aforesaid] corridor [to Azerbaijan].
