The Hraparak daily of Armenia writes as follows, in particular: As a result of the unprofessional, slow, bureaucratic activities of the Yerevan Municipality, it turns out that the American University of Armenia has also suffered.

Many will have noticed that in recent months the park located behind the American University of Armenia was closed for renovation, and the surrounding buildings were demolished.

Many will have probably noticed that an information poster announcing the construction work was installed, according to which the renovation was being carried out with the financial assistance of the USAID organization.

However, a few days ago, the USAID logos were removed-deleted from the poster.

The problem is that the Yerevan Municipality delayed the construction permit issuance process so much that the renovation was not done. And after [US President Donald] Trump came to power, USAID and its programs have been shut—also leaving the construction of this park unfinished.
