Nearly 600 Palestinians have been killed in the Gaza Strip in the past 72 hours since Israel broke the ceasefire, the Gaza media relations office said, Al Jazeera reports.
The death toll continues to rise as Israeli airstrikes and ground attacks intensify.
Amid the latest shelling, the Israeli military has launched a ground incursion into the southern city of Rafah, while a second ground assault began on the northern Palestinian enclave of Beit Lahia, Al Jazeera added.
