Protests that began across Turkey following the detention and arrest of Istanbul Mayor and Turkish presidential candidate of the opposition, the Nationalist Republican Party, Ekrem Imamoglu, are continuing, Cumhuriyet reported.

Detentions and arrests of many university students involved in the protests continue.

Families of students who have been beaten, detained, and arrested have set up a so-called “Parents Solidarity Network,” calling for a separate rally in support of the detained and arrested youth.
