PreferredYEREVAN. – Armenian Defense Minister’s Board session was held Tuesday at MOD, during which the 2011 results and the 2012 tasks were discussed.
In his remarks, Minister Seyran Ohanyan noted: “For Armenian Armed Forces, 2011 was a year of maintaining success and reducing flaws. The Armed Forces performed their military tasks with honor. Combat-readiness of the Armed Forces further grew in 2011.”
And speaking about the situation at the line of contact with the adversary, the Minister of Defense specifically said: “Azerbaijan continues to make bellicose statements, coupled with a policy of militarization. [And] In order to render the deserving counterblow to the adversary’s possible provocations, we must always be vigilant, and always keep the armed forces combat-ready.”
At the end of the session, Seyran Ohanyan awarded flags of honor to the year’s best military units, and their commanders and staff received medals, certificates, and gifts, MOD informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
