Forty civilians and 11 soldiers were killed in fighting along the Line of Control in Pakistan. Another 121 people were injured, informed the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) service of the Pakistan Armed Forces, Geo television reports.

On May 10, India and Pakistan agreed on a ceasefire. But a few hours later, drones were spotted in a number of cities in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as in the Punjab, and air defense systems were activated.

The Hindustan Times newspaper on Monday reported, citing its sources, that India will negotiate with Pakistan only at the military level, and there will be no political contacts.

Relations between India and Pakistan have strained considerably after the April 22 terror attack in the popular tourist town of Pahalgam in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, which killed 25 Indians and one Nepali.
