French President Nicolas Sarkozy sent a letter to Turkish PM Recep Tayyip Erdogan, following the French Senate’s passing of the bill that criminalizes the denial of genocides, including the Armenian Genocide.
Turkish media report that in the letter Sarkozy wrote that the aforesaid bill is not directed against any country, and he urged to consider the common interests of France and Turkey.
