YEREVAN. – Friday is the second day that no foreign currency trading was conducted at NASDAQ OMX Armenia stock exchange. But there are conflicting expectations around US dollar’s exchange rate against the Armenian dram (AMD).
Just like on Thursday, the demand for one dollar was AMD 386 on Friday, but, in comparison with Thursday, the dollar’s offering price increased and comprised AMD 387.50. This means certain banks expect for the dollar to gain value, whereas the others expect a drop.
And at Armenia’s cash foreign currency market, the exchange offices somewhat increased the dollar’s selling rate. In general, one dollar is sold at a minimum of AMD 387, and purchased at a maximum of AMD 385.50.
