Some of the 33 citizens detained in Gyumri have been charged under Articles 327 and 486 of the Criminal Code, which relate to interference with the administration of justice or the examination of a case, and participation in mass riots. The remaining detainees are expected to be charged under the same articles in the coming hours, lawyer Hayk Harutyunyan, representing four of the detainees, told NEWS.am.
The lawyer noted that a minor boy, who was also detained near the Gyumri City Hall, has already been charged.
“There is information that in the coming hours the investigator will submit motions to place all of them in custody,” the lawyer said.
