Gevorg Nersisyan and his son Hambardzum Nersisyan have been arrested. They have given testimony, and the video recording has been submitted to the investigator, lawyer Ara Zohrabyan wrote on Facebook.

“We are waiting to see what decision they will make. Within 12 hours, they must either apply to the court for detention or release them,” Zohrabyan added.

According to the Investigative Committee of Armenia, during the investigation of a criminal case, public criminal prosecution was initiated against two individuals under Article 211 of the Criminal Code: forcing someone to carry out or refrain from carrying out propaganda, or otherwise obstructing the conduct of propaganda.

The aforementioned individuals are the brother and nephew of the Catholicos of All Armenians, Karekin II.
