The tête-à-tête meeting between the foreign ministers of Armenia and Georgia in Tbilisi was followed by an expanded meeting with the participation of the two countries’ delegations.

And following the discussions, FMs Ararat Mirzoyan and Maka Botchorishvili made statements for the press, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia informs Armenian News-NEWS.am.

“The direct contacts and cooperation between our various ministries take place on a daily basis. Our bilateral agenda is multilayered, encompassing active cooperation in all areas — from the economy to security, from education and culture to tourism and people-to-people ties, contacts, visits. Nevertheless, and also so as not to repeat the areas and events listed by my colleague, I will focus on one direction which, under contemporary trends, is gaining greater importance and accordingly requires greater attention: that is interconnectivity.

And when I say ‘interconnectivity,’ I mean both macro and micro levels. At the macro level: the activation of routes in the region, the economic and trade ties between the two countries. And at the micro level: the interconnectivity between people, individuals — in the fields of trade, business, employment, tourism, and domains. This interconnectivity is truly more in demand than ever and is an important guarantee of our citizens’ well-being,” the Armenian FM said.
