Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze met with visiting Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ararat Mirzoyan, the Georgian First Channel reports.

According to the Georgian government administration, the sides highlighted the importance of the strategic partnership between Georgia and Armenia and reviewed the current situation in the region.

The discussion also touched upon bilateral good-neighborly relations. It was noted that political dialogue between Georgia and Armenia is conducted at the highest level. 

“Special attention was paid to trade and economic cooperation and the fact that Armenia is among Georgia’s ten largest trading partners During the meeting, Georgia’s important role in ensuring stable and peaceful development in the region was highlighted,” the Georgian government statement adds, in particular.
