Armenian-Chinese relations have reached a new level, and at this new phase broad prospects are opening up for us, and we can draw up various plans for the future. China’s ambassador to Armenia, Li Xinwei, stated this during the conference titled “Strengthening China-Armenia Strategic Partnership: A Dialogue on Governance Experience Exchange” in Yerevan Wednesday

Xinwei noted as follows, in particular: “Today we will discuss matters related to China’s governance experience. The objective of this discussion is not to boast about China’s development achievements, or simply to promote China’s experience. Our objective is to determine how to achieve comprehensive and sustainable development of our countries and societies in a changing world, how to achieve mutual trust and cooperation between peoples in a world full of competition and conflicts.

This year has been unprecedented not only for the world, but also for China and Armenia. This year, we have witnessed many changes and important moments together. (...). This year was also significant from the perspective of the development of Armenian-Chinese relations.

[Armenian] Prime Minister Pashinyan visited China, met with [Chinese] President Xi Jinping. The important achievement of the meeting was the joint statement on the establishment of a strategic partnership and the signing of a number of other agreements related to bilateral cooperation between the two countries. Armenian-Chinese relations have reached a new level. At this new starting point, we stand before broad prospects and can draw up various plans for the future.

China’s governance experience is not only for solving its own problems, but also for providing solutions to issues of universal development and global governance. It solves the presentation of the initiative of a community with a shared destiny. This initiative proposed by President Xi Jinping has been included in UN General Assembly resolutions for eight consecutive years. This year, President Xi also put forward another initiative—the Global Governance Initiative—which has received the support of Nikol Pashinyan. Recently, the Group of Friends of Global Governance was established at UN headquarters, China welcomes Armenia’s participation in this initiative.

Finally, I would like to note that China’s unique governance experience is not only part of China’s history; it is inseparable from global governance. China and Armenia are ancient civilizations. We both express hope to achieve national development and the happiness of our peoples, we strive for global peace and a bright future. In peaceful development and global governance, we are undoubtedly partners. China is ready to share its development experience and opportunities. We are full of hope to witness Armenia's bright future.”
