The Republic of Armenia Ministry of Foreign Affairs (RA MFA) recapped 2025, and presented the MFA’s work by directions. And according to the released statement, the passing year was strategic for Armenia in terms of developing its partnerships.

At the beginning of the year, the Charter on Strategic Partnership between the Republic of Armenia and the United States of America was signed in Washington. This partnership was reaffirmed and further enriched by three memorandums of understanding signed on August 8 on partnership in the fields of capacity development of the "Crossroads of Peace" project, artificial intelligence and semiconductors, energy security.

European direction

The strategic agenda of the RA-EU partnership was signed, whereby this partnership entered into a new and more ambitious phase with a shared vision and responsibility aimed at continuously ensuring concrete results for RA citizens.

Among EU member states, relations with the Netherlands, Luxembourg were raised to the level of strategic partnership, the strategic agenda for bilateral partnership between Armenia and Germany was approved.

The intention to raise relations with the United Kingdom to the level of strategic partnership was announced.

The political agreement formed at the highest level on the consolidation of strategic partnership between Armenia and France was emphasized.

Asian direction

Strategic partnerships were established with China and Kazakhstan.

Armenia and Georgia continued to actively develop the established strategic partnership.

Within the framework of the official visit of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Armenia, an agreement was reached to raise Armenia-Iran strategic relations to the strategic level,” the Armenian MFA statement said.
