Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council of Yemen, has ordered the termination of the joint defense agreement with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to separatist activities in eastern Yemen.
Yemeni SABA news agency published the text of this order.
Accordingly, the joint defense agreement with the UAE must be canceled, the order states.
Also, the Yemeni authorities demanded that the UAE withdraw all its forces and technical personnel from Yemen within 24 hours.
