Venezuela’s Minister of Defense, Vladimir Padrino López, has announced the immediate deployment of the country’s armed forces across the entire territory, BBC News reports.

In a video address, Padrino López called for the formation of a united front of resistance in the face of what he described as “the most terrifying aggression” ever carried out against Venezuela.

He added that the country is acting on orders from President Nicolás Maduro to deploy all armed forces.

“They have attacked us, but they will not subdue us,” the Venezuelan defense minister said.

Earlier, the United States carried out a large-scale strike on Venezuelan territory. According to U.S. President Donald Trump, the country’s leader Nicolás Maduro, along with his wife, was captured and flown out of the country by aircraft.
