Armenia's balanced policy cannot lead to a repeat of the Ukrainian scenario. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this at a press briefing Thursday, as he commented on the statement of well-known Russian broadcaster and commentator Vladimir Solovyov, who had claimed the need for a Ukrainian scenario in Armenia.

According to Pashinyan, the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project is a manifestation of a balanced policy, and it significantly increases the independence and sovereignty of Armenia, being an important factor in ensuring the country's security.

The Armenian premier noted once again that the participation of a third party in the TRIPP project is possible solely with the consent of Armenia and the US.

"This project is cut off from the world and has two beneficiaries. Within its framework, we [i.e. Armenia] ask Russia to restore the railways connecting Armenia with Azerbaijan and Turkey," he noted.

Pashinyan emphasized yet again that the border delimitation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan is taking place on the basis of the Alma-Ata Declaration.

Also, the Armenian PM recalled that the peace agreement with Azerbaijan has been initialed, but has not yet been ratified.

“Therefore, linking it to any possible domestic event is not very logical,” Nikol Pashinyan concluded.
