Not counting the exception of 2020 due to the Covid pandemic, 2025 is the first time that the difference between entries and exits by Armenian citizens is positive—and a rather high figure of 8,660. This was noted during Monday’s discussion of the 2025 activity report of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia, which was attended also by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The aforesaid was presented as a real change in trends, since the total balance of border crossings is also exceptional, about + 30,500, which means that there is a new migration situation in Armenia: the country, in addition to transit, has turned into an entry destination.
