US President Donald Trump said on Tuesday that he had a "great" phone call with Syrian interim president Ahmed al-Sharaa.
Trump called al-Sharaa a highly respected man, and noted that everything was going very well.
So, they are very happy about it, the US president added.
And al-Sharaa stressed the need for "joint international efforts to prevent the return of terrorist groups, including ISIS," Al Arabiya reports, citing a statement from the Syrian interim president's office.
