Vietnam declared of its intention to build the first nuclear power plant. The project is estimated at U.S. $11bn, Irish breakingnews.ie website reports.
On Wednesday, Vietnamese National Assembly approved the appropriate resolution. The construction will start in 2014 and extend for six years, the source says.
“Vietnam projects that the country's demand for power is expected to grow 16% a year until 2015,” the website reads.
