The incident took place between National Security Council (NSC) Secretary Arthur Baghdasaryan, and Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Chairman and National Olympic Committee of Armenia (ARMNOC) President Gagik Tsarukyan, and while welcoming President Serzh Sargsyan who was returning from Brussels.
Baghdasaryan’s press secretary Artur Misakyan confirmed to Armenian News-NEWS.am that such incident had occurred.
“There was a manly argument in connection with the [Armenian] Volleyball Federation; [but] the argument had a civilized end. After welcoming the President, both of them left [while] maintaining their view,” Misakyan noted.
To note, information was disseminated in the media that the NSC chief and the PAP leader had a heated discussion which even resulted in the using of profanities.
To remind, Arthur Baghdasaryan was recently elected President of the Armenian Volleyball Federation.
