YEREVAN. – Four non-coalition parliamentary factions will petition to the Constitutional Court to appeal the results of vote on gas agreement signed by the Armenian and Russian governments.

Artsvik Minasyan, MP from ARF Dashnanktsutyun, said the 7-member counting commission was not working as the parliament’s leadership did not set such a task.

“Based on the regulations of the parliament, four members of the counting commission - Lyudmila Sargsyan, Artsvik Minasyan, Tigran Poghosyan and Tigran Urikhanyan are addressing the Chairman of the Counting Commission Sukias Avetisyan, notifying that we will convey an extraordinary session of the counting commission on December 26 at 15:00 to discuss the legality of the vote and organizational issues. The meeting will be open,” Minasyan said.

Unless the chairman of the counting commission participates in the meeting, four members are authorized to hold a meeting led by Secretary Lyudmila Sargsyan.

Minasyan noted that if the Constitutional Court supports the petition, the agreement will be once again submitted to the parliament and another voting will be held.
