YEREVAN. - Armenia’s Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan today submitted his proposals regarding the Constitutional provision, according to which the Prime Minister shall be appointed as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces during war.

“We have submitted our proposals. I think we shouldn’t hurry. The proposals have been initially considered, will be discussed and a final decision will be made,” Ohanyan told Armenian News – NEWS.am.

According to him, parallel with the constitutional reforms, changes will also take place in the security system.

“Our stand is that the military hierarchy must be precise. And the main presence of the individual management principle of the military and the pledge of its success lie in that precision,” the Minister said.
