France commented on a regular aggressive statement of Azerbaijani president Ilham Aliyev.

Asked about France’s position on the recent Aliyev’s claims that “Yerevan and Zangezur are the historic territories of Azerbaijan”, French Foreign Ministry said:

“France is involved in the process of settling the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through peaceful negotiations. France calls on the parties to the conflict to work in this direction, to refrain from any statements and actions that could cause tension.”
