YEREVAN. – The Special Investigation Service (SIS) of Armenia has filed a criminal case involving preceding Chief of Police Vladimir Gasparyan.
As per the respective statement which SIS has issued, the criminal case was launched on charges of large-scale fraud and misuse of official power.
The criminal case was filed based on an article, entitled “Vladimir Gasparyan has become the owner of a 3-million-[US]dollar-worth mansion for [just] 200 thousand dollars,” and which Hetq news website had publicized.
A preliminary investigation is underway.
