A people’s nonviolent and velvet revolution has taken place in the Republic of Armenia; but this is not only a political revolution, but also a revolution of values.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, who is on a two-day visit to France, on Friday stated the aforesaid at this talk with members of the Movement of the Enterprises of France (MEDEF), in Paris.

“But overall, this revolution will not have any meaning if we [Armenia] can’t achieve economic growth,” the Pashinyan stressed, above all. “From the moment I was elected [PM], any businessman, business circle, or company [conducting business in Armenia] is released from the corruption system.”

In his words, the signals coming from businesses are now taken into consideration in Armenia.

Pashinyan added that their objective of bringing clarity to relations with several foreign companies conducting business in Armenia is not to ruin these relations, but to make their cooperation more productive.

Also, the PM noted that in the past, government members had not presented the interests of Armenia, but added that the “chair” of the defender of the interests of the country and of the Armenian people is no longer “vacant.”
