In an interview with RIA Novosti, advisor to the leader of Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party Yasin Aktay denied the news about the death of President of Turkey and leader of the ruling political party Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

“The news is inaccurate. As a rule, our president is on leave every year,” he said.

Erdogan hasn’t been in the public eye since July 18. The last time he hadn’t appeared in the public eye for a long time was before the military coup d’etat in 2016.
