The US government’s operations in Syria are unlawful. This is what Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Lavrov declared during a press conference in Yerevan today.

“I don’t have much time to follow the US government’s constantly changing policy on Syria, but the government’s attempt to plunder Syria and control oil mines is unlawful. This isn’t promising for the solution to the Syrian issue and poses a serious threat to the particular sector of Syria. Russia insists that the Syrian army must occupy the country’s whole territory as soon as possible. Only this will help put an end to terrorism and solve all the issues related to the ultimate political settlement,” he stated.
